Design is the body language of your marketing don’t slouch
MARK KING
My name is Peta McDonald-Smith. I started my career in sales and marketing way back in 1994 at a local newspaper in Gladstone, Queensland. I worked in Sydney for a few years in corporate sales and marketing. Moving back to sunny Queensland was an easy decision, we wanted to be closer to our family. Before starting Moonstone Creative I was a Marketing Assistant and received on the job training in Graphic Design. In late 2013 I added WordPress Web Design to my skill set and in April 2014 Moonstone Creative was born.
I have always been creative, taking on ceramic classes, mosaics, painting, pottery, etc. Now I get to combine this love of design with my years of marketing and sales experience to help small to medium businesses succeed.
I started Moonstone Creative in April 2014. My first client was a good friend who entrusted her small business website to me for a complete overhaul. Since then my clientele has grown entirely through word of mouth.
My clients range from local historical societies, authors, artists and lifestyle bloggers through to property developers, acupuncturists and truck tyre businesses.
Projects have included logo designs, designing and building WordPress websites, through to social media campaigns, calendar designs, t-shirt prints, book design and typesetting.
Helping small businesses and contributing to the local community is important to me. Since Moonstone Creative started I have worked with the local historical group, Kenmore & District Historical Society. Designing their logo in 2015 and building their WordPress website shortly after, to this day I maintain their website. They have also published five books that I designed and typeset. As a not for profit organisation they are run entirely by volunteers, who tirelessly give their time to ensure the history of our area is maintained for future generations.
TO MOVE FORWARD, YOU HAVE TO GIVE BACK.
